A Ring video alerted an owner in Aberdeen that his jewelry store was being robbed.
A video seen first on News 12 New Jersey shows the Cash for Gold and More store in Aberdeen being robbed Thursday morning.
News 12 spoke with owner Austin Renaud, who also provided video footage of the break-in. The video shows three suspects walking in just after they broke the glass on the front door. They are then seen selectively making their way through the store.
The owner says he is prepared for incidents like this and that the robbery suspects walked away with very little.
“What I lost is minimal compared to the damage they did and everything," Renaud says. "You know I got safes for a reason. Keep the place secured.”
Renaud says he’ll get what’s broken fixed and continue to move forward with his business.
“No changes moving forward, hopefully just people change going forward,” Renaud said.
News 12 was told no one was at the store at the time of the break-in. No injuries have been reported. There is no word yet on the three suspects.
