A 23-year-old man is recovering after a serious car accident in Monmouth County.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning around 5 a.m. in the area of Route 34 and Airport Boulevard in Wall Township.

According to police, the man was driving north when he veered off the road, hitting a utility pole, and causing his car to flip over. He became trapped in the vehicle.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and were able to extricate the man from the wreckage. He was then transported to the hospital for treatment.
