Secretary of Health and Human Services in CT to highlight work protecting reproductive care

U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra is in Connecticut today and Wednesday to highlight the department's work to protect reproductive rights.
Becerra is visiting several community and family service centers across the state over the next two days. 
Becerra visited the United Community & Family Services, alongside Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Rep. Joe Courtney, for a roundtable to highlight investments in community health centers made through the American Rescue Plan, and the importance of strengthening the mental health system through behavioral health integration and telehealth. 
Becerra and Gov. Ned Lamont also visited the Planned Parenthood Waterbury Health Center to meet with patients, health providers and health leaders to discuss the department's actions to protect reproductive rights following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
