The FAA says a United Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport on Saturday.

The plane landed safely before 12 p.m.

The flight was on its way to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The crew on the flight reported a possible mechanical issue.

The FAA says it is investigating the incident.
