Money Magazine last week released its list of the top 50 places to live in the U.S., and at number 43 was Union Township.
Native son Brian Donohue returned to his hometown to see what's changed, and what hasn't, since he grew up.
Donohue says most of the people he grew up in the neighborhood have moved out, and very few of the same families are still there.
In the past two decades, Union has seen a demographic shift more dramatic than any town in the state.
The once all white neighborhood is now home to families of Jamaicans, Colombians, Nigerians and on and on.
The old German butcher where he worked when he was 14 years old has packed it in, but you can get an amazing African goat soup just around the corner.
People such as Syed Imran, born in Bangladesh, moved from Queens for all the same reasons his old German and Italian neighbors did.
The factors Money Magazine took into consideration for its rankings included school graduation rates, economic growth, crime rates and diversity.
Parsippany Troy Hills also made the list at number 26.
