Two siblings on their way to school died when their car slid off a snowy road Wednesday morning in Jackson Township.
The incident occurred at Freehold Road and Goldfinch Avenue. Police say 17-year-old Andrew Miller and his 16-year-old sister, Shatone Glover, were on their way to Jackson Memorial High School. Authorities believe Miller, a senior at the school, was behind the wheel when the car slid off the road and hit a tree. Police say both teens were killed instantly.
Authorities say bad weather and the driver?s inexperience contributed to the accident. Speed may have also been a factor. Police also say Miller wasn?t wearing his seatbelt. Grief counselors were on hand at the school after the crash.
