Two people died and one person was critically injured in an Englewood fire Wednesday.
Fire officials say the fire started in the basement of a multifamily home on James Street around 4 a.m. Firefighters were able to rescue nine people from the blaze. Five other people were also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The names of the fire victims have not yet been released. The Bergen County Prosecutor?s Office is investigating the cause.
