Two of New Jersey's newest arrivals made their debuts en route to the hospital at a South Brunswick gas station.
Police officers arrived at the Route 1 Exxon station to find Dawn Loniewski in the back seat of her car in labor. The officers, who had never before delivered a baby, called for EMT assistance, but delivered Loniewski's baby girl before they arrived.
Minutes later, paramedics Jeremy and Crystal Joerg, a husband and wife team from the Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad, took over. They found blankets and towels to wrap the baby girl in and then delivered the second twin - a boy.
The father says the mother and babies are doing well.
