The year?s busiest travel period is off and running, but the new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules don?t have to put a damper on holiday travel for New Jersey residents.
Newark Liberty International Airport is expecting the passenger lists to surge in the next 10 days. The airport?s security chief says if people know how to pack before their flights, the check-in process will be smoother. TSA officials only allow a certain amount of liquids and gels on planes per passenger.
TSA and Newark Liberty International Airport officials are also reminding travelers that loose cans or bottles of any liquid, including water, are not allowed as carry-on items. Meanwhile, airports are expecting 25 million people to fly over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
