After dropping two early football games this season, Truman made a late charge for a shot at the City Cup Final Four when the team took on Lafayette.
In the Mustangs? first possession, Michael Johnson broke free on the sweep to take the ball 42 yards down the sideline for a 6-0 lead. The skies opened up during the game, but the Mustangs didn?t let the rain dampen their momentum. Truman easily won 36-0.
Truman was the only Bronx school in last year?s inaugural PSAL Cup division playoffs. The team is hoping to return this year.
