Parts of the New Jersey Turnpike in Middlesex County were shut down due to a large fire involving two tractor-trailers.
All northbound truck lanes on the Turnpike in East Brunswick are closed while first responders work at the scene. Two of the three northbound car lanes have been reopened.
All southbound lanes are open, but there may be delays in the area.
Large plumes of black smoke were seen for miles soon after the fire started. Witnesses reported hearing loud explosions following the fire.
State police say two tractor-trailer crashed into one another. A spokesman for the department says no one was killed and the drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
