Mercer County prosecutors say a 46-year-old Trenton man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend on Sunday before fatally shooting himself.
Prosecutors say Antione Brown fatally shot Nyeisha Saunders, 41, multiple times. The murder happened at a home on the intersection of Monroe Street and Pennington Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. Brown and Saunders had a previous dating relationship. Her 19-year-old son was shot in the hand.
Police say they found Brown dead at another residence on Pennington Avenue from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot to the head. The gun was found next to his body, according to police.
Police believe this is an isolated incident, and say there is no immediate threat to the public. Anyone with information can call Detective Luis Vega at 609-989-6406 or email mchtftips@mercercounty.org.
