Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson announced this week that he will not run for a second term in office.

Several candidates are expected to run this year to replace Jackson.

Some Trenton residents say that they would like to see the new mayor focus on crimes against children and housing issues.

Trenton’s mayoral election will be held in May.
