Summer unofficially comes to an end this weekend. Trends are showing this Labor Day holiday could round out a busy season of traveling.
Roads are expected to be packed this weekend because gas prices are down. In New Jersey the average cost for a gallon of gas is $3.26 according to AAA, down over 40 cents from last year.
AAA recommends driving Thursday and Friday in the morning and to avoid the roads as evening commuters mix in.
Saturday's worst time to drive is in the morning. While Sunday's best time is in the morning. Avoid driving on Labor Day Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
AAA expects to rescue more than 300,000 stranded motorists during the Labor Day holiday weekend – mostly for flat tires, dead batteries and locking your self out of the car.
