The trailer for Kevin Smith’s film “Clerks III” has been released.
The film by the New Jersey native is set to be released in theaters on Sept. 13 and continues the story of convenience store workers Dante and Randall as they deal with the trials and tribulations of living in New Jersey.
Smith came to prominence with the first “Clerks” movie released in 1994, which was filmed in Leonardo on a shoe-string budget. The film became a cult classic and gave birth to the characters of Jay and Silent Bob.
Smith went on to make many other films set in New Jersey, including “Clerks II” in 2006.
Smith will be taking “Clerks III” out on a roadshow tour in September and October, including a stop at the Count Basie Center in Red Bank on Sept. 7.
