Trader Joe's recalls food products made with cheese linked to listeria contamination

The Food and Drug Administration says the contamination has caused two deaths and 23 hospitalizations.

Trader Joe's has recalled several food products made with cotija cheese that they say has the potential to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
Trader Joe's says the following products should be thrown away or returned for a full refund:
  • Chicken Enchiladas Verde (sku 58292)
  • Cilantro Salad Dressing (sku 36420)
  • Elote Chopped Salad Kit (sku 74768)
  • Southwest Salad (sku 56077)
The recall is related to a Food and Drug Administration recall of Rizo-López Foods, Inc. dairy items that is used in a wide variety of foods.
The FDA says the contamination has caused two deaths and 23 hospitalizations.
