A tractor-trailer struck multiple vehicles in front of the Stop & Shop on Route 35 South in Point Pleasant Beach Monday evening.

The truck also struck some utility poles, snapping them in half, which pulled down some power lines. A Jeep Wrangler turned over and landed on the truck’s trailer.

No injuries were reported.

Crews were on hand to clean up the fluids leaking from the truck. JCP&L was also on the scene to fix the utility poles that were damaged.

A portion of Richmond Avenue was closed for a time.
