The Toms River Township’s council voted to permanently ban recreational marijuana sales.
In a 4-1 vote, council members approved the ban with two members abstaining due to conflicts.
Several council members say they will revisit the recreational marijuana issue eventually. Currently, only allow medical marijuana dispensaries are allowed.
