Marlborough where Tony is over to mccutchen with News twelve's Joey Rey. How are things going with you? I see that wind blowing your hair. Yeah, big snow. Uh snow flakes, excuse me, just fell on my head. You might think that it's snowing with, it's not, the wind is just blowing those snowflakes around. They're falling from some trees that are here in the neighborhood. I'd say that here in Metuchen, there's probably anywhere from 5 to 8 inches of snow and there you go, there goes that wind again, blowing that snow around. You know, we've been out and about all day and we've been seeing various accumulation. Some of the most accumulation though as Hilda mentioned was in Essex County. So I wanna get to some really exciting video that we filmed earlier in uh Edison to show you some of that snow accumulation. 11 inches of snow in some parts of Edison. Take a look at this. There's upwards of I'd say 5 to 8 inches on this car before it's been cleaned off. A lot of snow falling overnight. People also been busy clearing their sidewalks and driveways as snow has continued to fall. This morning. It is the light and fluffy snow as you've been hearing in our newscast that gets squished pretty easily. Not the heavy stuff that we had earlier this week. You know, we've been kind of tracking this storm throughout the morning we've seen in several different areas what the road conditions have been like early this morning. It was pretty tough to get around. I'd say before 5 a.m. the roads were really slushy. They were pretty dangerous to uh be driving on. But as the sun rose and as our dot Crews got out here on the roadways to treat them, it got a little bit easier to drive. It's still slick. It is still slushy while I've been traveling out here in the area. I did see one car kind of spin out on its way to an exit. We saw another car accident on one and nine. The front of a car was kind of bash so it seems like two cars may be collided on one and nine. So our dot Crews are doing a really good job um treating these roads. They pretreated them on Thursday and Friday as well. So that definitely helped as well. But we want to remind people that it is still a little bit slick um on the roadway.
