The Newark community is shocked over the latest shooting, which left three teenage boys in the hospital Sunday.
Neighbors say they heard what they thought were fireworks, but soon realized it was much worse when a dark-colored sedan sped away. Police say three teenage boys were shot about 7 p.m. on the street, one in the head. They were transported to nearby hospitals and there is no word on their conditions. Police have not made any arrests.
Homeowners say while gun violence is common in Newark, they have never had it hit so close to home.
