Tens of thousands gathered Wednesday night to mourn the loss of an Orthodox Jewish leader based in Brooklyn.

A funeral took place in upstate Rockland County for Grand Rebbe Chai Yitzchok Twerski who passed away at the age of 92.

Twerski was based in Borough Park and was named a Grand Rebbe in 1982.

The ceremony in Rockland was one of two funerals for the faith leader.
