Thousands of police officers and friends gathered in Jersey City Saturday to pay their respects to a fallen officer.
A procession through the city led the body of Officer Robert Nguyen, 30, to the Jersey City Armory for his funeral. More than 3,000 police officers lined the street for the procession. The six-year veteran of the force will be cremated, as is Buddhist tradition.
Nguyen and his partner were killed Christmas night when their squad car plunged off an open drawbridge. An autopsy has revealed that Nguyen?s cause of death was drowning, while his partner died on impact.
