The cost of summer camp has jumped, with YMCA options in Union now at $300 per week for 10 weeks.

Camps across the state offer everything from band and baking to basketball and ballet.

The Gateway Family YMCA in Union expects about 230 kids, providing a mix of activities. Camp director Francheska Portuguez said, "There's a lot of benefits to camp - not just with the kids attending, but them being exposed to the YMCA and seeing all the programs we offer outside of camp."

Some families may qualify for financial aid through YMCA donations.
