And the cost of that Thanksgiving dinner, it does vary. But what if you had $50 to feed a family of five? Now, that can be a challenge. We have families of five. So we tried it, Simon and I faced off to see who can make the better Thanksgiving dinner on a budget. I went to city supermarket in Fairview, but we begin in Monmouth County challenge. Accepted $50. You have to feed a family of five, a Thanksgiving meal. So I'm going to start at Aldi right there. I really think I'm gonna be Nick Mena's at this. If you haven't heard it already, you know, Simon's always talking about her famous mac and cheese. And I gotta be honest, I was gonna prepare a mac and cheese, but then I realized we weren't preparing a dinner for a kids party. The main course here should be pretty easy. It's Thanksgiving. It's not complicated. Of course, we gotta go with turkey. No, I don't think so. No turkey. Instead we make lamb beautiful. You're a hero. Right? So here's an interesting dilemma. These breadcrumbs are 239 or I could get a whole loaf of bread right here for 169. We need apples for apple cake. Golden, delicious. Yes, this is generally what we want. And this does the trick. Also busy cooking. How can we make sweet potatoes? Sweeter. Mini Marsh oo. 169 mini marshmallows. That's a winner. Gotta get the Gouda stuff. We need a vegetable here for another side. I think we're gonna go with roasted carrots. So I have the pasta right here. Three different kinds of cheeses. This is it, this is the winning cart. But let's see if it's under $50 I'm gonna make some turkey breast that's already stuffed with cranberry and smoked Gouda cheese. And now the cooking competition begins, which one of us can turn the $50 Thanksgiving budget into a five star meal tune in tomorrow at seven to watch us.
