Spring is here and many are eager to spring to places that will fill their break week with sun, sand and fun. According to AAA, in 2025 the Sunshine State tops the list of U.S. destinations for travelers.

“The average price to travel for spring break in Florida if you book early, is only $99 one way,” said Marshal Cohen, chief retail analyst at Circana.

Flying is only one piece of the vacation puzzle and Cohen says hotels are where things really start to get pricey. While there are savings to be had by choosing all-inclusive options, those resorts vary drastically in price.

“All-Inclusive vacations tend to run between $1,500, if you are lucky to go to one of the less expensive resorts up to $3,000. Then, of course, then there are the luxury, all-inclusive resorts that could cost $5,000 per person,” said Cohen.

These locations will include your room, and often food and some activities but your travel will typically be separate. If the combination breaks your budget driving may be the better option.

“Gas prices have come down,” said Cohen. “They’re running, on average, just below $3 a gallon in many of the areas where spring breaks are.”

Wherever you choose a vacation or staycation, the week is sure sign of the summer that will soon follow.
