A Bronx teen has pleaded not guilty tosecond-degree murder in an incident where a bullet pierced a windowand killed a 92-year-old woman.
Jamal Blair is being held pending his next court date Tuesday.Police say he confessed to being responsible for firing the gunduring a street fight. His attorney Angelo MacDonald is questioning the circumstancesthat surrounded how the police got the statements.
Police say the teen fired a 9mm handgun during a territorialfight between groups of young men from two nearby housing projects.The stray bullet entered a living room struck Sadie Mitchell, achurchgoing neighborhood matriarch. She died at the hospital laterthat day.
