A Teaneck mother is eagerly awaiting the safe return of her daughter as a steady barrage of rockets are exchanged between Israel and Lebanon.
Judy Solomon has been communicating with her 20-year-old daughter Suzanne over the phone. Solomon says her daughter was teaching English to students in Nahariya, Israel when the deadly attacks started Wednesday. Suzanne believes the worst is over, but the United Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey has canceled the teaching program and is scrambling to get Suzanne and others on a plane home.
Solomon says she won?t stop worrying until her daughter is back in Teaneck. Solomon also has a 17-year-old daughter, Ariella, who is in the southern part of Israel with a much larger group of students, so Solomon is not as worried about her safety.
