Lenape Valley Regional High School in Stanhope was closed Wednesday after the school was evacuated Tuesday night amid storm damage and tornado warnings.
The school was damaged during the storm as dozens of people were inside for an athletic dinner.
No major injuries were reported. Two people sustained minor injuries when a tree fell on their car, but they refused medical attention.
Tuesday's storm caused heavy rain, strong winds and hail, leaving behind damage to the front of the school. Trees surrounding the school were also damaged. Witnesses say the baseball field dugout was blown over and siding was torn off the back of the building as well.

"We did have an athletic banquet occurring here at the time, parents, students, and coaches,” says School Board President Richard Kuncken. “Under the supervision of our security guard who is here in the evening, those people were escorted to the gymnasium.
After school activities were also canceled.
The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado did touch down in Stanhope.
