A Seaside Heights woman was indicted on numerous charges related to a police standoff on Ravenwood Drive in Toms River earlier this year.

Elizabeth Mascarelli, 29, was indicted on charges including murder, weapons and desecrating human remains.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says Mascarelli allowed Maxwell Johnston to stay at her home for four days, despite knowing he was wanted for murder. Police say Johnston killed two women – Gabriella Caroleo and Kerry Rollason – in the days leading up to the standoff.

Johnston fatally shot himself during the standoff.

Officials say that when they searched the Ravenwood Drive home after the standoff, they found evidence of one of the killings, leading them to a second home in Jackson Township, where they found the remains of Rollason.

Mascrarelli is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a trial.

Three other people were also charged in relation to the crimes. Danielle Bolstand, 42, and Jared Krysiak, 34, were also indicted on charges related to the incidents. They are also being held in jail ahead of their trial.

Jared Palumbo, 36, was charged and released on a summons for his alleged involvement.
