News 12 Storm Watch Team meteorologists are tracking wet weather that is expected to begin Tuesday afternoon and last through Wednesday morning - just in time for holiday traveling. News 12 will continue to monitor any changes in the forecast and its impacts on flights and roadways.

NEW: We're keeping an eye on a potential system Tuesday into Wednesday which could bring some rain and wind into the Garden State and the tri-state area. This will likely have some impacts on holiday travel by car and airplane from late Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Some spots to the north and west could see some snowflakes or ice mixed in with those gusty winds and bands of rain. Even a small chance of pea-size hail is possible within those rain bands further south.
NEXT: After the rain clears, get ready for a nice, but brisk and breezy Thanksgiving Day on Thursday. Highs will be in the 40s with a gusty wind at times. Attention Black Friday shoppers: make sure to have the jacket if you're heading to the outlet mall.

MONDAY: Increasing clouds, breezy, and colder. Highs in the 40s.
TUESDAY/STORM WATCH: Mostly cloudy with rain and wind beginning in the afternoon. Some ice and snow may mix in overnight in far NW New Jersey. Could cause some hazards for holiday travel. Highs in the 40s.
WEDNESDAY/STORM WATCH: Rain and wind fading throughout the day. Turning partly cloudy. Morning and midday hazards for holiday travel. Highs around 50.
THANKSGIVING THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and breezy. Highs in the 40s.
BLACK FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs in the 40s.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with a shower chance. Highs in the 40s.
