As summer approaches, more people will be heading to the shore to hang 10, maybe try a new hobby like surfing. Very new to me. I don't know, surfing, you know, James Rio knows surfing and he's taking a break from the studio this morning. Joining us from a surfing camp. Bradley Beach. James, we got James and we got Jim and Jim. Ok, Jim his wet suit here. We've got Morgan from the surf camp Morgan. Tell everybody, I'll give you the microphone, kind of tell everybody what's happening here. Yeah. So we're here with summertime surf. We have James going out with our founder, Sean mcgrath. They're going to enjoy this bombing May morning here in New Jersey and hopefully catch a couple of waves and get a taste of what summer is like here in New Jersey and what our program is like. Ok. So for people who may have served, you know, middle school, high school, is it easy to get back on the board if you want to get back up in your forties or fifties, the fundamentals will definitely still be there a little bit. That being said, it's definitely great to get a lesson and brush up on kind of the foundations a little bit. It's a lot easier to have somebody who has recent experience guiding you into some waves helping you through ocean conditions that can be challenging day to day. Well, these two gentlemen have a lot of experience. I think James just lost his board. Not enough wax apparently. Right. Yeah. Not quite. But that's all right. He'll get back on the horse here. So, how long does the surf camp last? And how long would it take somebody like me to get back up on the board? Yes. So we'll run from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Most people get up during their first lesson. You know, that being said, people do learn at all paces but a lot of the times in the summer we get great conditions that are really conducive to people learning how to surf. So we find people usually find success within that first lesson. It's a little chilly out there right now. But how's James doing? You've seen him out before, right. He's doing all right. His paddle skills look good. He's going to make it out the back shortly here and hopefully get a couple of good waves. Got a bit of a sandbar it looks like too. Yeah, definitely a good sandar right now. Helping out with these tough bumpy conditions. Give the camp a plug again. Tell us where to go how we can get more information. Yeah. Absolutely. So we're summertime surf school. We're here in Bradley Beach. We're in Asbury Park as well as Belmar and Point Pleasant. We'll be operating all summer long. We run kids camps programs, adult surf lessons programs for pretty much all ages and abilities. So, come check us out. All right. Thank you so much, Morgan. Hey, we're going to enjoy James and Sean out there in the chilly ocean. So we'll come back and show you some more here from Bradley Beach. As meteorologist James Gregorio does his first passion in life. He's out on the board in the waves. We see that he wiped out at one point. He, but he, he the most point he did get back on.
