A new study is ranking the most expensive states in the U.S. to take someone on a date, and New Jersey has come in second.
According to a 24/7 Tempo state-by-state analysis, the average cost of dinner, drinks and a movie costs nearly $105 in the Garden State.
The study also took into account the combined average tax rate for all purchases on a typical date, plus the price of regular gasoline.
New Jersey only trails New York in the study.
The study shows the average cost of dinner, drinks and a movie in New York costs over $111.
The cheapest state to take someone on a date is Wisconsin, followed by Kansas and Missouri.
