If you straighten your hair while getting ready in the morning, there’s new information about the products you may use.
A new study found most hair products that smooth and shine hair include a compound known as siloxanes.
Siloxanes have been linked to liver, lung and nervous system damage in animals.
Not enough studies have been done to show how they affect humans yet.
Researchers also say the amount of siloxane emissions rose when heat was added to styling.
