Many parents in Newark are breathing a sigh of relief after learning University High School students involved in a bus crash will all be alright.
The crash occurred in Dunn, North Carolina Friday morning.Two tour buses transporting students, staff and chaperones were heading back to New Jersey from a trip to Disney World when the accident on I-95 occurred. According to troopers in North Carolina, one of the buses hit the other in the rear. A third tour bus was not involved in the accident.
Police say one of the drivers was airlifted to the hospital. However, his injuries did not turn out to be serious. About 50 people were also taken to the hospital with minor injuires.
The students will soon be boarding buses for their trip back to New Jersey.
