Newark Public Schools, as well as Jersey City Public Schools, say students will remain all remote until at least mid-April because of the high number of COVID-19 cases.
In Newark, students were going to return for in-person learning in the next couple of weeks. They will be on a hybrid learning model beginning April 12.
In a post on the Jersey City Public Schools, it says, “Due to the high COVID-19 transmission rate, students enrolled in the Jersey City Public Schools will remain in Phase I of remote learning through April 21, 2021. The District will release new information within the next week.”
