If you are looking to watch something new, this is what is streaming this weekend:
"Lovecraft Country," the long awaited series based on the novel of the same name, is a sci-fi horror set against the backdrop of Jim Crow-era America. It premieres on HBO Max Sunday.
If you could take a pill and have unknown superhuman powers for five minutes, would you take it? That question is the theme behind this new film. In "Project Power," a pill gives each taker a specific superpower, for better or worse. The superstar cast includes Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon Levitt. It debuts Friday on Netflix.
On a lighter side, if you are looking for some laughs, a former SNL star has a new sitcom. Jason Sudeikis is the title character in "Ted Lasso," a small-time college football coach hired to coach a professional soccer team in the UK. It premieres on Apple TV Plus Friday.
Make meals with Selena Gomez, in her new quarantine cooking show. Join her in the kitchen for a virtual cook-along with master chefs. "Selena + Chef" just debuted on HBO Max.
For some fun for the whole family, don't miss a new animated superhero comedy. In "Fe@rless_," a teen gamer is forced to baby sit for his favorite video game character. It’s on Netflix Friday.
