Strathmere and Whale Beach citizens looking to secede from Upper Township have gotten a former governor to take their case.
Former Gov. Jim Florio's law firm will represent the two communities in their court battle with Upper Township. The Upper Township Town Council has rejected their secession bid.
Strathmere and Whale Beach want to leave Upper Township and become part of Sea Isle City.
