Paterson police officers rescued a man from under a train Thursday night.
The rescue was caught on live TV as the department is being featured on the A&E show "Live Rescue."
The officers responded to the call around 10 p.m. Thursday.
NJ Transit says the man was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
The Suffern line was shut down for a period of time and buses were brought in to escort passengers to their destination.
