STORM WATCH: Tracking potentially severe storms for Saturday; tornado threat possible

Stormy weather is expected to arrive in New Jersey Saturday afternoon and evening.
Storm Watch Team meteorologists say that two rounds of storms are expected in the afternoon and another round later at night.
WHAT’S NEXT: Afternoon pop-up storms on Saturday could be strong in north and central New Jersey, including parts of the Jersey Shore, from Sandy Hook to Belmar. Brief downpours, lightning, strong wind gusts, hail, and even a possibility of a tornado are on the cards from 2-6 p.m. Saturday. It won't be a washout, so don't cancel the outdoor activities. But make sure to have the rain and storm plan in case this comes your way.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and mild. Lows in the 60s.
SATURDAY: Sunshine to start, but a chance of a few strong storms moving into central and north New Jersey for the afternoon. Highs in the 80s. Lows around 70.
