Stormy weather could bring as much as 2 inches of rain to parts of New Jersey by Thursday.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Justin Godynick says the storms will develop late Wednesday night and last into Thursday. A thunderstorm is possible.
Wednesday night will see rain showers and thunderstorms. Godynick says there is also the possibility for some sleet in areas of northern New Jersey that are in higher elevations. Overnight lows will be around 40 degrees.
The rain will continue into Thursday. The heaviest of the rainfall will be Thursday morning. Thursday will see high temperatures around 56 degrees. Clouds and the occasional rain shower are expected for Thursday night. Overnight lows will be around 45 degrees.
Friday will see cloudy skies with some breaks for sunshine. High temperatures will be around 61 degrees. Overnight lows will be around 45 degrees.
Saturday is expected to see a mix of sun and clouds. There is a slight chance for rain by the evening. Daytime highs will be around 57 degrees. Overnight lows will be around 43 degrees.
Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with some clouds. Daytime temperatures will be cooler in the mid-40s. Windy weather is also expected. Overnight lows will be around 32 degrees.
