A sharp frontal boundary is sliding through the area this evening, along it will be occasional showers. Because the air continues to drop so quickly, rain will frequently mix with small snowflakes, sleet and ice pellets. The winds will be picking up as the front passes by, so it is going to feel much colder heading into tonight.
Overnight temperatures will continue to fade from the 40s into the 30s. The lower 30s. Most, if not all, of New Jersey's neighborhoods will likely be around freezing or colder. Please use a little more caution outside. The rain has left behind some puddles and wet pavement. That will glaze over to an unassuming but dangerous glaze of ice.
Friday looks very pleasant. There will be a consistent wind, so the air will feel a lot colder than what is being read by thermometers. Dress for the wind chill tomorrow. It will feel like the low 20s in the morning and the low 30s in the afternoon. By late in the afternoon, there is a possibility of a few renegade snow flurries, raindrops or a mix of both. An upper-level weather feature near the Great Lakes will continue to pinwheel in colder air aloft. This will create an unsettled environment. Sunshine will fade behind those ominous-looking clouds and a few instability showers are possible.
Saturday is breezy and beautiful. Lots of sunshine and temperatures right where they should be for this time of year. 50 degrees.
Sunday clouds over. The majority of the day is dry. However, there will be developing showers to watch for Sunday night into Monday.
