STORM WATCH: Showers and thunderstorms for Saturday; skies clear for rest of holiday weekend

NOW: Mild and muggy into the evening with chances of showers/storms overnight.
NEXT: A few scattered showers and storms to kick off the holiday weekend on Saturday otherwise sun/clouds with the chance for a couple of strong to severe storms through the afternoon.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo says the holiday weekend starts off stormy with the threat of heavy rain at times but it will dry out for Sunday and the Fourth of July.

TONIGHT: Warm and muggy. Mainly cloudy with a shower or thunderstorm. Lows around 72.
SATURDAY: STORM WATCH -- Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Storm chance through early evening. MAIN STORM IMPACTS: Downpours, brief gusty winds, low chance for small hail.
SUNDAY: Early clouds, then mostly sunny. Highs around 85. Lows around 65.
MONDAY: JULY 4th -- Sunny with highs around 86. Lows around 66.
TUESDAY: Rain chances return, highs around 85.
