Seven stolen vehicles destined for West Africa have been recovered at Port Newark.
The vehicles were found inside containers by agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. They have a total value of $395,967.
Two Ford F-150 Raptors, two Dodge Ram 1500's, a Hyundai Santa Fe, a Range Rover and an Audi Q-8 were recovered.
“When law enforcement partners together and shares their expertise, it acts as a force multiplier against these complex, international criminal organizations," said Francis Russo, director of New York Field Operations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Homeland Security, the Newark Auto Export Crimes Task Force and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department helped in the seizure.
