The death of a teenager in Gloucester County has inspired new warnings from police in Fair Lawn about the dangers of unsanctioned "scavenger hunts" organized by students.
The body of Pitman High School senior Victor Rodriguez was pulled from a lake after a 17-hour search this weekend.
Classes there are scheduled to resume Wednesday on a half-day schedule.
Fair Lawn police are issuing warnings to teens and parents ahead of a similar scavenger hunt being organized by students in the borough.
Police say two students were arrested and charged during last year's scavenger hunt and are reminding people they have zero tolerance for criminal activity.
