Police are investigating after a man's body was discovered on the conveyor belt of a recycling facility in Monmouth County Wednesday.
Workers at the Republic Services Recycling Facility in Farmingdale were sorting materials when they observed the body of a deceased, white male on the conveyor belt, according to New Jersey State Police.
Multiple law enforcement officers as well as a medical examiner responded to the recycling facility at approximately 2:42 p.m. after the discovery was made. The facility is located at 15 Railroad Avenue.
Police did not know how the man's body ended up on the conveyor belt. According to state police, his identity and age have not yet been determined. No information was provided on the cause of death. State police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
