Three people were killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County Sunday evening.

New Jersey State Police say that the crash happened just before 10 p.m. in Port Republic.

Officials say a Kia crashed into the back of a Toyota, drove off the road and struck a tree.

Police say the driver of the Kia and two of the three passengers were killed. The driver was identified as 24-year-old Sabrina Kontos, of Ocean Grove. One of the passengers was identified as 27-year-old Dion Bullock, of Asbury Park. The second passenger who died was only identified as a 28-year-old Eatontown man.

Officials did not provide any information about if anyone inside the Toyota was hurt.
