New Jersey State Police say one person is dead and two others are injured following an early morning crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.

New Jersey State Police say one person is dead and two others are injured following an early morning crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The accident happened just after 4 a.m. southbound at MP 105.7 in Newark.
The preliminary investigation reveals a Chevy Malibu became disabled in the right lane and was subsequently struck from behind by a Dodge Ram pickup truck. 
State police say the Chevy then hit the left concrete barrier and the Ram overturned.
The passenger of the Malibu was killed. The driver was seriously injured.
The driver of the truck suffered moderate injuries.
The southbound inner roadway was closed for around five hours in the aftermath of the wreck.
