State: 344 new positive COVID-19 cases confirmed, 23 additional deaths

Gov. Phil Murphy and state officials have released the latest COVID-19 numbers for New Jersey.
The state is reporting 344 new positive cases for a statewide total of 177,887. Officials say that the rate of transmission is holding steady at 0.9.
There are currently 869 people who are hospitalized because of the virus, with 152 patents in intensive care. Seventy-three people are on ventilators.
Officials also say that there are 23 additional deaths to report. The statewide death toll now stands at 13,810.
