Police in Roxbury are on the hunt Tuesday for vandals who defaced a local convenience store by spray-painting racial epithets along a wall.
Kathy Sheth, who is from India, says she was shocked to see the graffiti on the side of her brother's store. Police believe the vandalism occurred sometime Sunday night or Monday morning. Police say about 20 cars and a boat were spray-painted with anti-gay slurs and profanity.
Authorities believe the vandalism was a random act. They say the vandals could face criminal mischief and hate crime charges. Anyone with information is asked to call the Roxbury Police Department at (973) 448-2100
