Work hard dress, right? Is a business on Ferry Street in Newark. We are talking with Brian Fury who was the president of Fury Image Group. Now, Brian, you all in celebrating your grand opening. You worked with a local artist, Vinnie Santarelli who created something special for you. Tell us about that. Yeah, as being part of Brick City, you know, there's not a lot of people that know that Newark is called Brick City. We, we, we partnered with a local artist to see if he can really pull some of that in just to put some art within our, within our facility. That's local from a local artist, a local graffiti artist that you don't see much graffiti in our neighborhoods anymore. Um So it was great to really work with somebody who's, who's, who's also very local and, and pull that into what, what, what I bet you in the last 30 years, people don't even realize that you were at one point was called Rick City. Tell us about your company and where that name came from. It's a great name. Well, so work hard dress, right? Is the retail operation side of our, our of our company, Fury Image Group, which is the, which is the uniform based company that's pretty much multinational. Uh, the work hard dress, right? Literally came out of, uh, we were trying to come up with names of the company and the tie line was already work hard dress, right? And I was back and forth with, uh my creative team. And then finally, one of our creative people just got pissed off at me and said, just call it work our dress right already. So, uh, we did that. We, we, uh, we set up a retail operation about 10 years ago, up in, uh, up in New Haven, Connecticut for, you know, a hospital and it was successful on the medical side. And, uh, so it, it's, it's the name kind of says it all, you know, uh, you know, work hard dress, right? And, and we're, we're, we're heavily at the protecting people from the safety and the P pe side as well. Tell me about the team members we are looking at in this picture. Yes. So most of those team members have been with us 10 plus years now. Um, some of them have started in our production facilities and moved up into, uh, you know, customer service in different aspects of the business. And, and now are moving over to, to help us here run the retail operation, uh, work in the retail operation and, and, uh, you know, and some of them are just helping, set up the operation. So, we are a true, uh, true family. I will tell you that everybody's been with us a long time and everybody much, very much enjoys each other's company. So, it's been a, it's, for me it's been, uh, it's been a great place to work. Um, and, and, you know, really the team has really pulled all this together for me.

We are talking about work hard dress, right? That is a business on Ferry Street in Newark. Brian Fury is the president of Fury Image Group. Let us talk about the fact that your business is contributing to the Newark economy and creating jobs there. Yeah, I mean, we've been here about 20 years. Uh we've, we've seen some tremendous growth over the last several years. We, we pretty much doubled our staff uh in Newark, which we have a production facility about uh about a mile from here. Uh Opening up this retail operation. We thought this would be a great opportunity to do more with companies within Newark by doing more, more business within Newark. We're adding some more staff on. We obviously need staff within our, our location. We need more embroiderers and things like that back in our other fac to, to continue the growth. The growth has been staggering, but more importantly, the, the, the, the the the people we've been able to get has been incredible really, there's not too many places in the country that can get really the level of staff that we've got and the, the dedication to whether it's embroidery screen printing, um you know, heat seal and, and really caring about their jobs. We have in a lot of cases, we have the families and we got, we got mom and dad and the, and the kids and yeah, it really is, it really is amazing and the quality of work we get is, is incredible. So everybody cares and uh and we just keep adding people. I mean, from what we started 20 years ago, I think I had two people and now we're, we're, you know, a anywhere between 3040 or 28 and 40 at any given time. So tell me about the clients that uh hire you all to produce their work wear. So our client base is, is pretty wide. So we're doing everything from hospitals, Yale, New Haven Hospital up in Connecticut. I've got over 20,000 people in uniform there, American Express. We're ship, we're, we're doing some of them a around the world. Um the Barkley Center, we opened up Metlife Stadium, uh Con Edison. Um So we're, we're doing a lot of different areas. We're doing everything from chef wear to hi vis uh to uh flame resistant clothing where we're personalized everything and, and we're getting our experts involved with, with their, their safety directors to make sure that the, the that their employees are, are wearing the proper personal protection equipment. And uh and then we're, then we're putting, uh we're a technology company as well. That we're putting all these managed programs together and then we're dealing with those individuals one at a time. So in Yale's case, we're dealing with 20 plus 1000 people, one at a time. So I really feel we have a good connection uh to individuals and what they're looking for and what, what, what they need. And that's also what's kind of driving us to, to open up locally down here to say, let, let, let's offer to the local community. Our, our, our warehouse is only a mile away from here.

We are talking with Brian Fury, who is the president of Fury Image Group and Brian, how you treat your staff, your whole business model and philosophy is important to you. Tell us about that. Well, I really think it was right from the beginning, it was very important that listen, you treat everybody the way you wanna be treated. Um There, we don't have a, there's no bosses, right? We all have different jobs. My job is to clear pathways for my team and, and, and do whatever I can do to help them be successful and, and create opportunities and growth. And for that, I mean, from my perspective, we've been hugely successful, not, but because of what I've done for the company, but bef because of what the team has done collectively with each other. Um and that's created a, that's created a culture that nobody leaves. Everybody stays, everybody brings their family members and their friends. We don't have any problem getting employees or team members to within our organization. And it's been, it's been really special. I mean, it's something I didn't plan on and it just, it just kind of happened, which is, which is really great. So we try to promote within, we give a lot of opportunities and we try to put career paths for our team to grow within the organization in our work. And you know, we're a multinational company. So it, it's, there's a lot of opportunity out there. You are firmly entrenched in a neighborhood there in Newark. Why is that special too? Well, first of all, I grew up two towns away, so I grew up in Kearney, New Jersey. Um I went to grammar school here. I went to the public schools in Kearney and a big chunk of my friends are out of here. I know the area, we know the culture, we love the restaurants. Um And to be honest with you, we, it just works for us. Um I wouldn't move our company anywhere because I, I don't think I can duplicate what we have here. Um And that's that and that's the truth. It's for me, it's worth that. Yeah. What are your future plans? Well, we've been on a very, our, our future plans. So we've been on a very strong growth track uh for the last couple of years, we're looking at acquisitions and in other states and, and you've given some of the opportunities here for, for some of our people to advance and maybe move and run facilities and in other areas for us. So, uh uh you know, it's grow the business, grow it at a, grow it at a pace that is, is, is helpful to, to, to our team. You know, our, you know, it's uh our team, you know, our, our people first, our families first, we worry very much about everybody's families making sure they're taken care of. And, and that's the way we're gonna continue to grow this business. It's, it's, it's not, it's not all about profits. It's a lot of times about, you know, what we're doing growing as a group and that, that's really what's made us very successful to, to now.
